French Toasts for 2 Tots

This is by far our daughter's most favorite dish, hence deserves the honour of being the first recipe of the blog. If she refuses to have any one day,  I'd get worried. You can get creative by adding ground almond or any other nuts into the egg mixture. I also love it topped with almond or hazelnut butter (although it is harder to sell it to her).

            Ingredients
  • 2eggs
  • 50 ml milk
  • 1 TBS cinnamon sugar (1/4 cup granulated sugar to 3-4 tsp ground cinnamon)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2-3 slices white / brown bread (or brioche slices)
  • Maple syrup (or honey)
  • Sliced bananas, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries...
    Directions
    • Lightly beat eggs in a wide shallow container.
    • Stir in cinnamon sugar, vanilla extract, and milk.
    • Over medium heat, heat skillet with a little light olive oil.
    • Place the bread slices, one at a time, and coat both sides with egg mixture for a few seconds.
    • Transfer bread slices to skillet, until bottom is golden brown. Turn and brown the other side.
    • Serve hot with maple syrup and fruit.
Recipe for French toasts serves 2 tots.

    1. We tried this with grape molasses instead of sugar and it turned out really well.
